  • The Henry Williamson Society - Rifleman Henry Williamson was in the same LRB battalion as Hubert Brown until Henry was invalided home in January 1915. They would have shared the same experiences and would more than likely have known each other. Henry survived and went on to become an acclaimed author, of which 'Tarka the Otter' is possibly his most widely-known book.
  • Jack's War - Rifleman Jack Widdicombe was also in the 1/5 London Rifle Brigade, and his letters home are also being published on the corresponding day to when they were written. He was not in the same Company as Hob, but his letters add much to understanding of life in the LRB.
